When: Friday 5th August from 6.00PM – 9.00PM
When you look at the stars above on a clear night, you’ll see just how much Mother Nature has given you to work with as a photographer. Why not learn some amazing techniques to produce visually stunning, swirling shots of Mother Nature’s starry masterpieces?
Our Light Stalking – Photographing for Star Trails Workshop gives you all the training you’ll need to create stunning star-trail shots of your own. Led by Mackay Landscape Photographer David Phillips from Cherish Artz, and supported by the Cherish Artz Workshop Team, this hands-on workshop will help you achieve the right camera setup and configuration for night sky shooting. With a bit of patience and waiting, you will be well on the way to obtaining some breathtaking shots that you have to see to believe.
The Power of Patience
Please note that patience is critical on this excursion! To capture these types of stunning images, you’ll need to set your camera up for long exposure over time. We’ll help you get fully set up and properly configured – then we’ll all wait together and allow the cameras to do their magic.
