What services do you offer?

We convert a wide range of old media into modern digital formats, including:

VHS, VHSc, MiniDV, and 8mm camcorder tapes
Audio cassettes, records, and reel-to-reel audio
CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and floppy disks
Film reels (silent and with audio), negatives, slides, and printed photographs
Photo and video restoration and editing
File uploads from phones, tablets, and modern memory devices

How do I know what type of tapes I have?

What format will I receive my digitised files in?

Your digital files are provided in two widely compatible formats:

MP4 – Ideal for most modern devices
MPEG – Often preferred for editing
These formats are playable on smart TVs, PCs, Macs, and most video editing software.

What device will my files be delivered on?

Files are delivered on a USB or external hard drive, depending on the size of your order. Each device is:

Branded with “Your Video Angel”
Delivered in a protective case
Easy to identify and access for future generations

Extra copies for family and backup can be arranged.

Do I get my original media back?

Yes, absolutely. We return all original tapes, reels, discs, and photos alongside your digital files. Where necessary, tapes are cleaned, repaired, and in some cases recased to protect them.

Do I need to clean my media first?

No need—we do that for you! Every item is assessed and gently cleaned before digitisation to achieve the best possible results. We also perform minor repairs if needed.

How long will my order take?

Turnaround time varies depending on the size and complexity of your order. Most are completed within a few weeks. We’ll let you know when it’s ready and keep you updated along the way. If you’re in a hurry, ask us about our urgent order options.

Can you store my digital files?

Yes. We securely store your files for:

2 weeks (after local collection) or 3 weeks (after postage), then
Archive for up to 3 months
We also offer an optional Long-Term Storage solution, where your files are safely kept at our office for up to 3 years.

What if I can’t view the files on my computer or TV?

Try using VLC Media Player, a free and reliable app compatible with nearly all formats.

If you still experience issues, contact us within 5 days of receiving your order so we can help.

Can I rename the files myself?

Yes! You’re encouraged to rename your files with meaningful titles such as names, dates, or events (e.g. “Ben’s 5th Birthday”). This helps make your memories easier to find and share, especially with future generations.

Will you label the files for me?

Each item you send is assigned a reference number, which is used to name the corresponding digital file. Where possible, we include any details from your original labels (names, events, years, etc.).

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we do offer flexible payment plans for larger orders. Just reach out and we’ll tailor a plan that works for you.

What happens if my USB is lost or damaged later on?

If you haven’t opted for long-term storage, and your USB or hard drive is lost or damaged after the retention period, a full reconversion would be required. We strongly recommend making backup copies as soon as you receive your files.

How do I get my media to you?

You can:

Drop it off locally (Mackay area)
Arrange for local delivery
Post it to us securely (we recommend Australia Post Registered Parcel Service for tracking)

Can I check what’s on my tapes before converting them?

Yes! We offer a review service where we clean and preview your tapes. If you’d prefer to check in person, we can arrange a viewing appointment after the tapes are prepared.

Do you provide extra services like editing or restoration?

Absolutely. We offer:

Photo restoration (faded, torn, stained images)
Video editing and montage creation
Colour correction and enhancement
